The women walked down the sunlit road, baskets of fruit on their heads, their steps as steady as the island’s pulse. Mangoes, papayas, and bananas overflowed, bright as the sky above. The air was thick with salt and ripeness, and the market hummed with voices like old songs. It was a rhythm as ancient as the land itself.
